Illiteracy and Indoctrination

Illiteracy and [LEFTIST] Indoctrination start in OUR public elementary

schools and is solidified in our colleges and universities.

If public schools are improving education, why are illiteracy rates increasing?  Why are teachers indoctrinating America’s children into socialism? Is there any truth to the “salt and light” argument that encourages Christians to send their kids to public school? Sadly, most American Christian children are being PROPAGANDIZED daily by pro-choice secularists, atheists, evolutionists, politicized bureaucrats, far left unions and oftentimes even child molesters. Under the guise of education the publicly funded monopoly of Government schools has engaged in a vast program of social engineering designed to eradicate the Christian faith from American life.

Freedom in education: how it was lost

The Rival Religion

First, the rival religion. This was the influence of Unitarianism, particularly through New England congregational churches, and mainly by the work of Unitarian activists. These individuals had abandoned many traditional Christian doctrines, and instead promoted the ideals that mankind could be perfected through proper education and training; they believed in the essential divinity of mankind; they believed that this divinity of man was most pronounced when mankind is considered collectively as a whole; so, therefore, they believed that the civil State was the highest expression of divinity on earth; and thus, they believed, that the State was the ultimate parent and benefactor of individuals…

Mass Immigration and “Americanism”

Much of this immigration came from Irish Catholics who fled the Irish potato famine beginning in 1845. In 1825, there were only about 5,000 Irish in Boston. In 1845, the number had multiplied six times to 30,000, and they now made up about 30% of the population. These saw the imposition of government schooling as a secularized version of what was formerly Protestantism, so they started their own schools. This was true of most of the other early immigrant groups, most of whom came from Northern Europe, and were either Lutheran or Dutch Reformed. All of these groups started private schools so as to avoid the secularized indoctrination of the public school system, and these denominations still have these traditions today…

The Public School as Factory

So the third factor in the loss of liberty in education was the rise of big business, corporations, and particularly the influence of industrialization and factory mechanization. Not only does this pertain to the loss of liberty, but more importantly to the normalization of a life in which that liberty was gone. The mass production of public education became the tool by which America grew adapted to life without freedom in education, in which the question was never even raised…

The Real Cost of “Free” Education

Yet finally, as sort of a capstone upon these three major factors, Americans began to abandon home and private education due to the illusion that government schools were free. This creates different levels of motivation. Some buy the illusion completely: the school costs them nothing while it educates their children and simultaneously provides free child care during the day. This illusion is swallowed most readily by people who don’t own property, and thus never directly see a property tax appropriated from them personally. And since property tax is usually escrowed automatically, even most property owners don’t really feel the true weight of it anyway. Other people merely live content with the illusion, knowing it actually costs money, knowing they actually pay taxes to support it even if indirectly through increased rents, yet accepting this as moral or at least practical enough to live with. These people, too, once receiving the benefits, will defend the system which taxes other people to benefit them. Even among public officials who know better, the phrase is simply modified to remain deceptive: public education is free, “at the point of delivery” (which is, of course, an admission that it’s not free).

Leftist professors outnumber Conservatives nearly 12 to 1 at colleges and universities

A 2016 study confirms what even the most casual observer of higher education has long known — that conservative professors are vastly outnumbered by liberal ones — but it also shows that the problem is getting worse.  Published in Econ Journal Watch, the study looks at faculty voter registration at 40 leading universities and finds that, out of 7,243 professors, Democrats outnumber Republicans 3,623 to 314, or by a ratio of 11.5 to 1.

IndoctriNation – FREE version HD

This film warns Christians about the subversive and anti-Christian nature of the American education system and calls on all Christians to participate in a mass exodus from government education for the sake of their children and the future of America. “Every Christian parent with a child in a government school should see this and be forced to confront their unwillingness to do what Scripture requires for the children on loan to them by God.

But evil people and impostors will go from bad to worse as they deceive others and are themselves deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and found to be true, because you know from whom you learned it.” – 2 Timothy 3:13-14

The Dumbing Down Of Americans

Charlotte Thompson Iserbyt served as the head of policy at the Department of Education during the first administration of Ronald Reagan. While working there she discovered a long term strategic plan by the tax exempt foundations to transform America from a nation of rugged individualists and problem solvers to a country of servile, brainwashed minions who simply regurgitate whatever they’re told.

Part one of Infowars.com exclusive interview with Iserbyt breaks down how conditioning/training under a corporate agenda has replaced traditional education, leading to a deliberate dumbing down of Americans. Iserbyt further explains how Reagan signed agreements merging the U.S. and Soviet systems under the United Nations banner, turning over education and many other areas of public policy to global control. This 74-minute exposé is a must-see for anyone who wants to truly know why the education system is deliberately crafted to produce human drones with no critical thinking whose only skills are to be subservient, trust authority and follow orders.

The Subversion of Education in America: Lesson #1

I’ll bet you think that the problems with our nation’s schools are a fairly recent phenomenon. Wrong. It dates backs to the 1960’s. Those that have implemented the subversion of our educational system have sought to fly well below the radar of public awareness, depending on stealth and duplicity to achieve the wreckage that has already stunted the lives of thousands who have passed through it.No other topic has evoked as much email as did our weekly “Warning Signs” commentary, “Indoctrination, Not Education.” Good. Time to wake up America! In this and three other commentaries, I will walk you through the history of the problem with the help of an extraordinary book, “The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America” by Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt. The facts I will

share with you are found in a fat compendium of research by this former senior official with the US Department of Education who discovered the mother lode, copied it, and fled. She is one of America’s unsung heroes.

As Iserbyt points out, in the 1960’s “American education would henceforth concern itself with the importance of the group rather than with the importance of the individual.” The purpose of education would shift to focus on the studentÕs emotional health, rather than academic learning. Remember the 1960’s? Sex, drugs and rock’n roll? Drop out, tune in, and turn on? Just about everything that is wrong with America today had its genesis in this pathetic decade of youthful self-indulgence.”

In 1965, there were two major federal initiatives developed with funding from The Elementary and Secondary Education Act passed that year. One was the 1965-1969 Behavioral Science Teacher Education Program and the other was the publication by the government of “Pacesetters in Innovation”, a 584-page catalog of behavior modification programs to be used by the schools.

Let me repeat that: a catalog of behavior modification programs! We’re not talking of programs to teach students anything. We are talking about programs to indoctrinate children passing through the system to believe in values contrary to those on which this nation was based.

In brief, the intention was to create a generation or two of Americans who would accept the United Nations, not the United States, as their new “nation”, a global nation, one-world government. The last thing the conspirators wanted was a nation of individuals who could or would actually think for themselves. This is how we ended up with Bill Clinton, the classic student achiever of the 1960’s.

Iserbyt writes that “In 1960, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s Convention Against Discrimination was signed in Paris. This convention laid the groundwork for control of American education, both public and private, by UN agencies and agents.”

Now connect the dots. In 1960, “Soviet Education Programs: Foundations, Curriculum’s, Teacher Preparation” was published under the auspices of the US Department of Health, Education and Welfare. It was the blueprint for the US school-to-work restructuring that would take place and it would rely on the “Pavlovian conditioned reflex theory.” The mastermind of mind control and conditioning was a psychologist, Dr. B.F. Skinner who was the guru of the mess that passes for education in America today.

Though hard to believe even now, the US adopted the Soviet Communist approach to education. In 1961, Rep. John M. Ashbrook tried to alert Congress to what was happening. Citing a document published by the Department of Health, Education and Welfare called “A Federal Education Agency for the Future, ” he called the new education programs “a blueprint for complete domination and direction of our schools from Washington. Guess what? He was right.

That is why the educational reform this nation really needs is the complete elimination of the US Department of Education. It won’t happen. For the same reason we are now only learning that those “Red-baiters” of the 1950’s were right to assert the Department of State was shot through with Communists, no one in 2001 is going to believe that the US Department of Education is modeled on Communist theories.

Education in America 100 years ago – The Three R’s

This copy of the Eighth Grade Exam for Bullitt County Schools in 1912 was donated to the museum. We thought you might like to see what the test looked like a hundred years ago. Obviously, it tested some things that were more relevant at that time than now, and it should not be used to compare student knowledge then and now.

Note that there are several typesetting mistakes on the test including a mistake in the spelling list. The word “eneeavor” should be “endeavor.” This version of the exam was probably a master version given out to the schools (note that the spelling words wouldn’t be written on a test.) The museum has been told that the exam was handed out in a scroll form (that is why the paper is long.) The typos would have been corrected simply by contacting the teachers and telling them to mark their copies accordingly, much like would be done today. And there might not be quite as many typos as you think; “Serbia” for example was indeed spelled “Servia” back then.

Bullitt County Schools were mostly one-room schools in those days, scattered around the rural county. Students came together at the county courthouse once or twice a year to take this “Common Exam.” It was apparently a big deal. The local newspaper urged students to do well, even urging seventh graders that it was not too early to start preparing. Some scholarships were provided to those who passed to go on to high school, which was also a big deal back then. In those days, high school was sometimes another county away and a rare thing for many farm children to be able to otherwise attend.

And remember to smile a little while reading this exam. It has been great fun, as well as a challenge, to think about the questions, and to come up with answers for 1912 and for today. For example, it has been interesting to see disagreements on even the basics, such as what is a “cord,” much less the actual answer to the question, or the much more controversial questions about government and about “who discovered…”. Smile. We are all learning from this test.

Education in America today – COMMON CORE

Lily Tang Williams, a mother of three, testified before the Colorado State Board of Education that Common Core was similar to the education she received growing up in Mao’s Communist China.

Dr. Duke Pesta is Academic Director of FreedomProject Education, a fully accredited, Common Core Free, online Classical school, built on Judeo-Christian values for students from Kindergarten through High School. As part of FPE’s outreach ministry, Dr. Pesta has delivered more than 350 talks around the country alerting parents to the Dangers of Common Core. Despite a relentless travel schedule that has carried him to 40 states, he frequently receives requests for a very brief overview of Common Core for people just waking up to the danger. To that end, FPE offers the following short spot by way of introduction.

Indoctrination Examples

NYC Kindergarteners Pledge Allegiance To ‘International Flag’ Made from a Desecrated American Flag.  A story from Sean Hannity’s website has been tearing up social media on Saturday [3/5/2016] and with good reason.  It seems kindergarten children in New York City, under the direction of teachers and with the approval of the parent teacher association, desecrated an American flag in order to praise multi-culti internationalism as superior to and authoritatively above the United States.

The regrettable decline of higher learning.  What do campus microaggressions, safe spaces, trigger warnings, speech codes and censorship have to do with higher learning? […] In fact, today’s campuses mimic ideological boot camps.  Tenured professors seek to indoctrinate young people in certain preconceived progressive political agendas.  Environmental studies classes are not very open to debating the “settled science” of man-caused, carbon-induced global warming — or the need for immediate and massive government intervention to address it.  Grade-conscious and indebted students make the necessary ideological adjustments.

America’s Indoctrination Mills.  If you think college is bad, wait until to find out what is going on in America’s elite high schools.  The mania over political correctness and victim culture does not begin in college.  It begins, as Prof. Jonathan Haidt discovered, in the indoctrination mills that prepare children for college.  It’s a bit much to say that they are schools at all.  Parents are clearly worried about the abuse that is systematically visited on boys.  They are surely also worried about the way that their daughters are being turned into a revolutionary vanguard.  Whatever you think about helicopter parenting, you might consider that parents might very well want to protect their children from the leftist culture that prevails in high school.

Dept. Of Education Issues Guide Urging Schools To Help Illegals Apply For Amnesty.  The Department of Education is out with a new resource guide encouraging schools and educators to help illegal aliens apply for amnesty under President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).  The document, which was released on Tuesday [10/27/2015], also urges schools to provide welcoming environments for illegal alien students by hosting events such as “Undocumented Week.”

Arizona High School Bans Patriotic Gear From Football Game.  Administrators at Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, Arizona, have issued a mandate to students about what they can and cannot wear to a football game against rival Marcos de Niza — wear what we approve of or you will not be admitted.  The reason?  The school paper reports “the administration decided it was best to avoid any possible offensive connotations the theme would have.”

4th Grade Reading Assignments: Black Panthers, Police Brutality, Need for Amnesty.  Fourth graders in Wake County, North Carolina have been assigned one book that involves the Black Panthers and racism, and another involving a father’s murder, police crackdowns on Mexican unions, and immigration to the United States.  According to Stop Common Core North Carolina, a parent reported 4th graders have been told to read the book One Crazy Summer, by Rita Williams-Garcia, in which three sisters are sent by their negligent mother to a camp run by the Black Panthers.
