Site Maintenance and Improvements
Sorry, it’s been a while since posting a site update. We’ve been focusing on relevant articles. As we build our archive of articles, we find that we are linking to both previously posted articles and pages to help further resource. So we added a breadcrumb plugin, which appears under the menu, so that, when a person arrives on a post or page, they can easily see how it is connected to the whole site.
We also noticed a problem with our contact form on our Contact Us page. So we changed our contact plugin. We believe this will so solve a site hangup some have experienced.
Ben Garrison Cartoons
We’re happy to announce that the creative political cartoons of Ben Garrison will now appear on Pilgrims Beacon. Ben’s cartoons are very logical and as I’m a visual learner, I was pleased to receive permission to include his cartoons on this site.Not only will you occasionally see his new images but we will be adding older images on various pages to reinforce the general premise of the topic. His cartoons appearing on this site is not to be construed as an endorsement either way. We will not agree on everything, however, we seem to lean in the same political direction, hence his permission to use his cartoons. To begin, his cartoons have been added here, here and here.
And if you’ve been exposed to propaganda by the internet trolls, Ben Garrison is not a White Supremacist, a Neo-Nazi or anything like that as explained in this Breitbart article. Visit his site for copyright information.

After much research, we added a great documentary on Charlotte Thompson Iserbyt, former head of policy at the Department of Education during the first administration of Ronald Reagan as she explains a long term strategic plan by tax exempt foundations to transform America from a nation of rugged individualists and problem solvers to a country of servile, brainwashed minions who simply regurgitate whatever they’re told. We also have a copy of the Eighth Grade Exam for Bullitt County Schools in 1912 to show the vast canyon of knowledge between American children a hundred years ago and today.

This page was previously blank and in deep research. Now we show the Bible is the foundation of a strong, stable society and the importance of apologetics and family. We also have information on combating Common Core. More will be added later.

When I built the site I had to format each page URL by separating each word with a dash so that search engines could properly index the site. So that create page URL’s like https://pilgrimsbeacon.com/pilgrim-strategies/the-magdeburg-formula/. I began to discover that it was difficult to share a specific page in conversation due to the long URL that included multiple dashes. So we added a 301 Redirect plugin to allow for shorter URL’s without actually changing the site. Now you can simply share the page name (minus any dashes) with the primary site. So if you want to share the URL above, you can say pilgrimsbeacon.com/themagdeburgformula.
